App Preferences on Mobile Devices

Playback Mode

When this setting is enabled, episodes will play without video by default. You can still toggle between audio and video within the app player at any time.

Auto Play Next Episode

When enabled, the next episode in a show will automatically begin playing. When disabled, the show will end, and you will need to manually select the next episode or show to begin playback.

Playback Speed

You can adjust the default playback speed of video or audio so content starts at that speed when playback begins.

Closed Captions

This setting will enable or disable closed captions for all compatible content by default. You can still turn captions on or off within the video player at any time.

Bluetooth Control

When enabled, playback will automatically resume when your device connects to a Bluetooth device, such as a car stereo or speaker. This feature is currently available on Android devices only.
 

Audio Only Downloads

When enabled, downloads will be saved as audio only instead of video. This can help reduce the amount of storage used on your device.

Device Storage

Selecting this option will take you to your device's storage screen, where you can view how storage is being used and manage available space.
 

Article Text Size

Select your preferred text size for articles.

• Small
• Default
• Large
• Extra Large

You can still adjust article text size within an article at any time.

Reading Theme

Choose a display theme for the News tab and articles.

• System Setting – Matches your device's theme settings.
• Light – Displays articles using a light theme.
• Dark – Displays articles using a dark theme.

Note: This setting only affects the News tab and articles. All other areas of the app remain in dark mode.

Start Screen

Choose which tab opens automatically when you launch the app.

• News – For an editorial and article focused experience.
• Watch – For a video focused experience, including podcasts, shows, and movies.
